Hello 2023!

Welcome to the new Turtlewings blog called “sketchbook stories,” the idea behind the blog is simple. Sharing wild ideas, projects, dreams and inspiration from the Past, Present and Future!

From 2007 until today, I have been madly sketching and journalling many ideas and stories, many of which I have never shared, but it feels like it is time, and I am happy to share them with you!

Past stories will be from over 20 years of sketchbook ideas created while developing projects for Turtlewings Atelier Brussels. Some ideas turned into something, and others inspired projects or just lived in the sketchbook until now!

In addition, new sketchbook ideas around the next chapter in the Turtlewings story, Turtlewings UK, will also be highlighted and shared. This blog aims to create an excellent place for learning and sharing. Feel free to learn and try out ideas from here and please comment and share your own if you would like.

One of the first projects I developed for Turtlewings when it was still in my house was called Turtlewings Common. I wanted to design an open, flexible space for educators and creatives to come and inspire others as well as be inspired. This is the same feeling I have almost 20 years later when writing this first blog post.
